  • All measurements are provided in millimetres, taken by hand, and are approximate. Slight variations may occur.
  • All items are sold “voetstoots” (as is) and are therefore non-returnable. However, in rare instances and at our discretion, returns may be accepted. In such cases, a handling fee may apply.
  • Delivery quotes exclude insurance. The Crown Collection cannot be held liable for any breakages, damages, loss, or theft once items have left our premises.
  • While we make every effort to accurately document the condition, size, and description of each item, this information is intended as a general guide and may not be exhaustive. Imperfections are often part of an item’s character and authenticity. Photographs form part of each item’s description.
  • Due to the age and nature of our stock, flaws and signs of wear are part of the charm and uniqueness of our pieces. Many items have been previously owned and are not in perfect condition. We provide multiple photos for each piece online, and we welcome requests for additional images or videos.
  • Colours in photographs may vary from the actual item due to lighting conditions and time of day the photo was taken.
  • Items shown in photographs exclude any accessories, unless specifically stated in the product description.
  • Our onsite restoration centre is able to customise the finish of most items, including darkening, lightening, bleaching, gilding (using hand-applied gold or silver leaf), and French polishing. Customisation quotes are available upon request.
  • Our onsite upholstery centre offers fast turnaround times and can assist with fabric sourcing through our trusted suppliers.
  • Clocks are sold primarily for their decorative value. If you require working clocks, we recommend they be serviced or restored. Please note that not all clocks come with weights, pendulums, or keys. We are happy to refer you to a clock servicing specialist.
  • Silver-plated tea and coffee sets may be sold purely for decorative purposes, though some may still be functional. If required, we can assist with a quote for re-silvering or polishing.
  • Some antique armoires, cupboards, cabinets, vitrines, and chests may have old locks without keys. Should you require functional locks and keys, please enquire.
  • Some antique storage pieces may not include shelves or hanging rails. Custom additions can be quoted on request.
  • Prices listed online exclude import duties. If your order is shipped outside South Africa, you may be liable for customs duties upon receipt.
